Jessamine County, Kentucky was the home of many Revolutionary War soldiers.  

On July 4, 1927, Trabue Chapter presented a monument, placed on the lawn of the Jessamine County Courthouse.  The monument contains the names of Revolutionary War soldiers who died in Jessamine County.  

Trabue Chapter collected money for this monument for six years.

On July 4, 1927, 2000 people from throughout the Bluegrass state assembled on the Jessamine County Courthouse lawn for the unveiling of a memorial to the Revolutionary War soldiers who died in Jessamine County.
